Fillers

Filling materials are used to optimize the plastics’ properties. Optimization is mainly focused on stiffness increase, shrinkage reduction, surface improvement as well as cost and weight reduction.

Materials of high importance for thermoplastics are mineral fillers like calcium carbonate and talc.

Calcium Carbonate Masterbatch (CaCO3)

High-quality CaCO3 masterbatch with high percentage of CaCO3, wide-ranging application possibilities in plastics processing

Appearance: Granulate
Color: white
CaCO3 percentage: 80%

Talc

Functional mineral for scratch resistant and low-warpage materials

Talc is a mineral filler for PP, PA, PVC, PE foam, PC and many others. By reason of its low hardness talc has no abrasive effect. It increases above all stiffness, hardness, dimension stability, heat resistance as well as flexural and shear modulus.

  • Powder or granulate
  • Particle size 4µm – 10 µm
  • Talc percentage up to 99%
  • Whiteness 70 – 96

MILLED GLASS Fiber

Milled glass fiber – not just a filler

Properties:
Milled fiber redounds to the reduction of the shrinkage, increasing flame-retardance for better dispersion and excellent flowability of plastics granules.
Milled fiber is reproducible in the same quality (grit size and color) and thus it is not “milled filler” only.
We can offer milled fiber with or without silane-based surface treatment.

Specification:
Fiber length: 75-200 µ
Density: 0,2-1 g/cm³
Colour: white

Fields of application:
Compounds, Paints and coatings, gelcoats
